Tuffy Troy Auto Repair

I had an appointment for 7am, they had my car for 12 hours to do a brake job. Among the brake job they replaced a belt in my car and a steering arm. Ever since I left every time I have my foot on the gas and tuen right or go around a curve to the right I experience an odd vibration feeling under my gas pedal that I’ve never once experienced on any car I’ve ever driven before (including this one and I’ve had it for 5 years). I also hear a new grinding nose coming from the rear drivers side of the car. I work three jobs and over 80 hours a week so I’m in pretty much constant need of a vehicle. I already missed a full day of work and pay when they had my car for 12 full hours last weekend and when I called Kevin, the manager earlier this week he said “sure bring your car in any time”. I have a small window of time open tomorrow morning and asked about bringing my car in and now I’m being told that it’s been a week so it’s likely something else and nothing they did and I should’ve brought it in sooner. Kevin flat out said “we can’t fix things with a magic wand and if it’s something we did, we will fix it. If not, take your business elsewhere.” Last week this jerk wasted over an hour of

Looking for honest, fast, and high-quality auto repair? Look no further than Tuffy Auto Service of Troy! After 15 years with a competitor who constantly failed to handle tough jobs, I switched to Tuffy—and they completely blew me away. Here is why they are my new go-to shop: Massive Savings: The other shop quoted $1,700 to replace my entire exhaust. Tuffy found a smart option and fixed it perfectly for just $300! Life-Saving Inspections: Their digital 40-point inspection includes photos and videos so you see exactly what needs fixing. They caught metal-on-metal brakes right before my road trip to Tennessee! Lightning Fast: I got a detailed estimate within 24 hours, and all complex repairs were finished perfectly just one day later. Tuffy of Troy is officially my new automotive home. Do your wallet and your vehicle a favor—give them a try 😊

My jeep wrangler was serviced by Tuffy for a new muffler. The dealership said it was going to be $400 more than what I paid at Tuffy. Their service was top notch - quality, same day, and extremely friendly. They also let me know of an upcoming issue to watch for but didn’t pressure me to fix it right then. It is a sigh of relief to find an auto service that is not taking advantage of you. I highly recommend them!

I’ve been looking for a trustworthy car shop in town, and Tuffy is the one. I found some great deals on other shops’ websites, but when I called to confirm, their actual prices were higher. Tuffy, on the other hand, honored the deal they advertised. I also really appreciated their thorough and transparent service. I went in for a simple oil change, but they checked over my car at no additional cost and without sales pressure. This is definitely the shop I’ll keep coming back to, and I’ll be recommending it to my family as well. Chad is also an excellent communicator.

Fast service, very reasonable price. I installed a new starter on my tahoe and all of a sudden my truck stopped starting. I called the guys at tuffy and they got me in immediately. Turns out I broke the clip that holds a small wire to the back of the starter. They replaced the wiring harness for me in a matter of a few short hours. Big thanks to the team!!
